Six Clips that Will Inspire You to Create a Bucket List

Hey guys! As a bucket list blogger, I love watching and hearing clips, films, news stories, or songs featuring people achieving or thinking about crossing off their bucket list goals. Recently, I’ve been thinking about some of my favorite clips from movies, documentaries, trailers, news stories, and songs that feature bucket lists, people who have bucket lists, or inspiring people in general. Not all of these clips are directly from the films (in fact, one was made by a fan, but still captures the essence of the movie perfectly). Here are the top six movie clips, trailers, documentaries, or news stories, in my opinion, that should inspire you to create a bucket list and they are in no particular order; I think they are all inspirational:

1. A Walk to Remember

This film is one of my all-time favorites and not only because the main character Jamie has a bucket list!

2. Zach Sobiech’s Inspirational Video

Zach recently passed away from cancer, but through this video, we are able to see what an amazing, inspirational person he was. It is Zach who says, “You don’t have to find out you’re dying to start living.”

3. The Bucket List

Two of my favorite actors, plus a bucket list? Enough said.

4. The Buried Life

Not only do these four guys cross amazing things off their own bucket list, but they also help others fulfill their dreams along the way!

5. Talia’s Bucket List

Talia, an amazing teenage girl, YouTube star, and CoverGirl, recently passed away from cancer. Shortly before her death, she made a bucket list and now her fans are helping her fulfill it.

6. Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw

An oldie, but a goodie. I have always loved this sad, but inspirational song.

Although these are a couple of my favorites, I’m sure I’m missing some more inspirational bucket list clips, content, songs, or stories about people who are fulfilling their bucket lists. What are some of your favorites? And what do you think of these?

In a Walk to Remember, I was impressed by how smart the male actor was and also how negative he seemed. Meanwhile, the female character seemed to control him in a lovely way. She is lythely beautiful and tender. She moves him toward a fluidity and grace that only his quickness with words and observation made evident. A woman can do this, to soften and make lovely.

    • Wow, that was beautifully put and I completely agree πŸ™‚ I just love the chemistry that the two of them have together, especially because, like you said, he is often so negative. Love this movie!

  2. I just watched A Walk to Remember 2 nights ago. My favorite movie and my daughters. I cry every time I watch it. So sweet!

When I first saw the title of this list, the first things that popped into my head were “Zach and Talia.” Truly inspiring people whose stories really touched my heart.

  4. Maybe I need to start a”bucket list”….never thought of that before….thanks for the inspiration!

  8. Thanks for sharing “The Bucket List”‘s inspirational trailer (I adore Morgan Freeman !!!) and for following my blog, about fashion inspirations, published in Marseille, France !

This is very helpful to others, and I appreciate that very much. One of my bucket list items was simply to create a blog that would reach out to others and try to help them. Although it is for everyone — and I mean for it to be uplifting, inspirational and sometimes humorous — it is geared to those suffering from ill health and fear and anxiety issues. I don’t know how many people I will reach, but if I can change just one person’s life around, I will be happy. I thought you would appreciate that seeing as what you are doing here. Thanks!

A Walk To Remember is what inspired me to write one back in 2003 when I was 11 and to this day because of this movie I have always had one. It has just changed a bit since I was eleven.. ha

I surely didn’t expect to spend 25 minutes on one post this morning, but I am so glad that I did. I watched the first clip, “A walk to remember” and now know that I need to put that on my list of movies to see.

Then, I watched the Zach Sobiech’s video. There are simply no words to convey what I am feeling. Sadness, happiness, tears of laughter and tears of anguish all coursed through my veins with one word rising to the top. Live. Live fully. This was beyond an inspirational “clip”. This is life-transforming if you let it. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

I will fully admit that I was unable to watch anything beyond that 22 minute video. I want that feeling and image to be locked in my mind. It is how we all should live. If you are reading this comment and haven’t watched the whole video, please go back and watch it. You will be happy that you did.

    • Thank you for such a great comment! Definitely watch a Walk to Remember if you get a chance πŸ™‚ It’s a really inspiring, though sad, movie. And I think you described Zach’s video perfectly; although it’s a tear-jerjer, it really is life-transforming and incredibly inspirational. Just from watching the video, it’s obvious he was such a genuinely nice person!

  16. I absolutely loved A walk to remember. The idea was very sweet. I think it time to start my own list. Running a 5k, riding a bike, volunteering abroad, all need to be on there. Love it!
