Hi all! Below is a series of man-on-the-street interviews I conduct with strangers, known as “Bucket Listories.” I ask the strangers two questions: 1). What is the number one item you want to cross off your bucket list? and 2). What is the best thing you believe you have accomplished in life so far?
FAQ:
1). Q: These interviews are a lot like the Humans of New York Facebook Page. Is that where you got the idea from?
A: Absolutely! I was so inspired when I found Brandon Stanton’s Facebook Page and thought that centering my interviews around people’s bucket lists and accomplishments, and interviewing people from not just New York, but anywhere I go, might be a fun twist on a similar project.
2). Q: Did you draw inspiration for these ideas from anywhere else?
A: Yup! Actually, this summer, before I really came across the “Humans of New York” Facebook page, I decided it would be fun to interview 25 random people on the streets of New York and ask them what the #1 item they want to cross off their bucket lists is. However, finding Stanton’s page inspired me to add photos.
3). Q: Do you really not know any of the people you interview?
A: Nope! They are all strangers.

Aw thank you; I’m really glad to hear that 🙂
I really like this concept! What a great way to get to know the people in your world! You’ve done a wonderful job with this project so far – keep up the good work!
Thank you so much Lisa :)!
I love it! You’ve inspired me to start a similar list – how does making music make you feel. Stay tuned (pun absolutely intended). . .
Love this concept! I look forward to reading more.
Thank you so much :)!
Really, am just gonna do same thing in Lagos… am moved!
Aww I’m so glad to hear that :)!
This makes me so happy! The fact that you take your time interacting with complete strangers makes me smile. Not a lot of people approach strangers because we live in such a society where people just walk by strangers and don’t even make eye contact. We’re all people and you never know what great human you could meet by doing this! Gives me an idea to do the same thing and see the interesting people I run into! Love it keep it up 🙂
Aww thank you so much for this kind feedback; it really made my day 🙂 I totally agree about the “we’re all people” comment; my mom is always saying that phrase and it really puts things in perspective! Let me know if you start doing this and I’ll really look forward to reading them!
I like that you did this. Theyre so much fun to read!
Aw, thanks so much :)!
It is very inspiring and uplifting. Thanks.
Wow…This is wonderful…Loved reading it…Got me thinking as well 🙂 Look forward to reading more of your posts.
Aww thanks so much I’m glad to hear that and same here :)!
This is so refreshing. I’d love to give this a try in my area. These simple questions inspire one to do a quick reality check (yes I am admittedly talking about my own thoughts, haha.), which I think we all need once in a while. So glad I encountered your blog!
Thank you so much 🙂 But I completely know what you mean! I’m glad I found your blog as well and definitely let me know if you try this out!
very unique project ..wonderful …keep going ..and do the best
Thank you so much :)!
This is a really clever initiative and I wish you the best with it. Many of the responses so far have been flippant and some surprised me but it’s number 2 that I think showed the most insight because I believe that happiness is the key and nothing else can truly alleviate the absence of happiness.
Thank you so much 🙂 I agree that the response about happiness was great and you have a good point!
Great project! Reading different responses from people of all walks of life really gives an insight about who they are. Beautiful 🙂
Yes, I completely agree Andy 🙂 Thank you!
i love the no fear attitude of street interviews, good for you and thank you for following my blog writings from a dandelion
I agree with the no fear attitude, you have pointed out. The interviewer needs to have “prudence” (if that would be the right word), to ask questions. One can expect any answer, especially in rural India where I hail from.
Aww thank you 🙂
Thanks so much 🙂
Aww… We are literally doing the same project of random street Interviews, but you have a good focused questionnaire! Though my format is different, including your questions and the photograph would help immensely!
Thanks for the idea!
That’s awesome you’re doing something similar and you’re very welcome 🙂
This is so cool! I love it! Thanks for following my blog too 😀
Very cool idea! Looks like you are very creative with the scope of your blog.
