Welcome to Project Light to Life! I’m Christine, a graduate student who hopes to help others achieve their goals, while documenting my journey to try and accomplish some of my own.

Since project is both a noun and verb, I hope to inspire you not only to project the light you can bring (whether through your sense of adventure, desire to help others, etc) onto the world, but also, to consider this project as the next step toward new experiences.

Gretchen Rubin, author of The Happiness Project, writes, “’Be selfless, if only for selfish reasons’ is one of my favorite paradoxes. Generous acts strengthen our bonds with others, and what’s more, studies show that happiness is often boosted more by providing support to other people than receiving it.”

Building on this idea, along with the concept originally inspired by the four guys behind The Buried Life, I hope to do one kind act for someone else/help someone cross off an item from his or her bucket list each time I cross off several accomplishments on my list.

Urban Dictionary provides some definitions of a bucket list:

“You feel insecure about your life and therefore make a list of things to get busy on.”

“A list of hottie’s, MILF’s, and other strangers that you always had your eye on and you must now go conquer.”

I define bucket list as an adventure or an opportunity to consider what I want from life and what I want to give others in my life at specific moments. After crossing items off my bucket list for the past several years, I decided to share my journey as I continue my search for new experiences.
